The grievance policy and procedure for music therapists seeking education opportunities is a crucial aspect of ensuring that all participants are treated fairly and have the ability to address any concerns they may have. The following outlines the steps to be taken in order to file a grievance, as well as the way in which participants will be informed of the existence of this policy.
Participants in music therapy continued education opportunities will be informed of the existence of the grievance policy and procedure at the beginning of the program during the introductory module and will also be listed on the webpage of our website dedicated to continued education opportunities. This information will include the contact information for the person responsible for addressing grievances, as well as the timeline for filing a grievance.
If a participant wishes to file a grievance, the participant should submit an email of the grievance to Marisa de Leon at marisa@rgvmusictherapy.com within 30 days of the incident. The written grievance should include a clear description of the grievance, the date and location of the grievance, and any other relevant information.
The grievance will then be reviewed and a written response will be provided to the participant within 30 days of receiving the grievance.
