Spanish Christmas Songs for Music Therapy Sessions

It's Christmas time and our clients here in the RGV have started to request their favorite Christmas songs!

Today, I'd like to share some popular Christmas songs in Spanish. It's common for us here in South Texas to have repertoire in both English and Spanish, especially throughout the holidays.

This is a list of the songs that I get the most requests for in Spanish. If you're looking to build your Spanish rep list, these are great to get you started:

Mi Burrito Sabanero

This is a fun, upbeat song that shares a story about traveling to Bethlehem on a little donkey to see the baby Jesus.

Noche de Paz

"Noche de Paz" is a well recognized song for Christmas and is also well known in English as "Silent Night".

Feliz Navidad

"Feliz Navidad" is one of the most popular Spanish Christmas songs. We love to dance along!

Santa Claus Llegó a la Ciudad

This is the Spanish version of "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" sung by the one and only Luis Miguel!

Los Peces En El Río

This is a traditional Christmas song that can be translated to "The Fish in the River".

Campana Sobre Campana

"Campana Sobre Campana" is a song about the bells that ring in Bethlehem to celebrate the birth of Jesus.

Mamacita, donde esta Santa Claus?

I always have a few requests for this song every year. It's a funny, cute story about waiting for Santa to arrive!
